Taranto – The Sea Capital is a portal for the promotion and enhancement of the city of Taranto wanted by the Melucci administration. It was created to share information, memories, stories and excellence of the area and to become a source of information on local development opportunities. Taranto – The Sea Capital, moreover, represents the attempt to coordinate the touristic and the accommodation offers, put in place by the local operators of the sector.

The site gives to the guests (and not only) the possibility to easily get in touch with the many cultural and touristic experiences offered by the territory by setting the visit according to the specific tastes and needs of the guests. Above all, this project aims to have a direct relationship with the service providers that joined us, and we are sure they will also join the “Pact for Tourism”, a fundamental part of a project of mature and aware growth of the local offer.

For the tourist

Discover and experience the wonders of the area through the promotion of the various cultural / historical attractions and the touristic offers proposed by the various operators in the sector who, through a conscious planning and of your path, will be able to benefit from tourist services with structured and innovative criteria.

For the operators

Create a concrete and innovative circuit to improve the tourist offer and give visibility to the offered services. By joining the Tourism Pact, Taranto will be able to show itself to international tourist exchanges, with an accommodation offer that has been revolutionized in many ways.

The “Pact of Tourism”

The Pact of Tourism guarantees the accessibility to the heritage seven days a week, throughout the whole day, as well as the digitalization of information on the main city attractions; it guarantees also the usability of the same within specific virtual paths: the final project aims to guide the transformation of the touristic offer into a smarter version of it. This vision requires a precondition, that is organically mapping, organizing and proposing to visitors the enormous amount of individual initiatives that, for years, have contributed to fueling the tourist flows of the area.
